How To Troubleshoot the Wyze Cam Offline Error or Error 90?

The Wyze Cam Offline error occurs because of a weak internet connectivity issue. Although, there might be some other reasons too that could be responsible for the error.

If your Wyze camera is offline, check your internet connection, software, connection interference, and other issues related to the software.

How To Fix When Wyze Cam Won’t Connect To Wifi?

  1. Check Your Internet Connectivity

Just check your Wi-Fi connection to whether it is working properly or not. To check, just connect your phone to your Wifi network and see if the internet is working properly or not.

If the Internet is not working, restart your router to temporarily fix the problem with the router so it can start working again.

If even after restarting the router, the Internet does not work, check all the cables of the router, whether they are all installed correctly or not.

If still your Wyze Cam Offline and the internet are not working, please contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to solve the Internet problem.

Once online, check to see if the Wyze camera problem has been resolved or not.

2. Change the Wifi Channel On the Router

  • Go to your router settings.
  • Change your router’s wireless channel from automatic to manual.
  • In automatic mode, the router continues to bounce from channel to channel to find the best one.
  • This jump often leads to a poor connection and displays a Wyze Cam Error Code 90.

3. Power Recycle the Camera

If the internet is working fine and you still have the problem, the next thing to try is to restart your camera.

  • Disconnect the Wyze camera cable from the light source.
  • Wait about 20–30 seconds.
  • Insert the power plug back into the power socket.
  • Wait for it to reset.
  • Now check if the issue is resolved or still Wyze Cam Won’t Connect to wifi.

4. Factory Reset Your Wyze Camera

Wyze Cam and Wyze Cam Pan: Press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds to reset the factory settings. You can see the Start button at the bottom of the screen.

Wyze Video Doorbell and Pro: Look at the back of the device, there is a reset button there. Just click the reset button once to perform a factory reset.

Wyze Cam Outdoor: It can’t be a factory build.

After the factory reset is done, set up your Wyze camera again and check if the Wyze Cam Offline error has been resolved or not.

5. Delete the Camera From Wyze Cam App & Setup Again

  • Get the Wyze app.
  • Tap on the gear icon
  • Next, from the bottom of the screen, tap Delete device under Device settings.
  • Tap Yes when the pop-up option appears.
  • Now check whether the Cam LED is flashing yellow or not.
  • If it flashes yellow, it means you are no longer connected. Then press and hold the reset button for about 20–30 seconds.
  • When you hear the “Ready to connect” sound, you can release the button then.
  • Now go back to the Wyze app.
  • Click New Device. Click the Wyze camera.
  • Enter the name and password of your WiFi network.
  • When it appears, scan the Wyze camera’s QR code.
  • Give your camera a name.
  • You are done.
  • Now see if your camera is working properly.
