You vs the person I thought you were

Some nights are better than others but all of them are horrible. Some nights I just miss you, other nights I miss your soul, a soul that I never really got to know and that hurts even more because you were it for me. You had me, you would’ve known my soul if only you paid any attention but I could never have known yours because you and the person I thought I was laying next to aren’t the same.
