The Dead Sea, also known as the Salt Sea, is the lowest point of land earth. For this reason and many others, it is a must visit destination. It is an amazing place with mystical ancient history and breathtaking natural views. Here are 3 things to do at the Dead Sea area:

1. Float in the Dead Sea: This free activity is one of the most amazing experiences you’re going to have at the Dead Sea Because of the buoyancy of the water, floating is going to be extremely easy. All you’ve got to do is lay back, chill, and enjoy the spectacular views of nature around you.

2. Visit Masada National Park: Masada is a UNESCO world heritage site where archaeological findings are displayed in a theatrical setting. It you’re someone who loves hiking and exploring the heritage and ancient history, Masada National Park is a destination you shouldn’t miss! But if you’re not into all that, there are still tons of other options like screening halls, entertainment complexes, shopping and restaurant areas in Masada.

3. Visit the caves of Qumran: Qumran, overlooking the Dead Sea, is one of the greatest historical discoveries till date. Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest documentation of the Bible were discovered in this cave. These scrolls remained intact for 2000 years. You can also see a dining hall, a ritual bath and other discoveries in Qumran that explain about ancient history and lifestyle.
