What does it mean to be conscious? This question has been puzzling scientists and philosophers for centuries. Consciousness is the state of being aware of our surroundings, thoughts, and emotions. It is what makes us feel alive and connected with the world.

Also, How does consciousness work? Is it a brain function, process, or something more mysterious? Is it connected to what so called “Soul”, or is it just a brain thing.

One way to get a better understanding of consciousness is by discussing an interesting condition known as Anton’s syndrome.

Anton’s syndrome is a rare condition in which a person becomes blind without realizing it. It was really interesting when I first read about it. How would someone think he sees while he cannot see? It does not make sense. Yes, literally, they cannot see anything at all, but their mind tricks them into thinking that they can see normally well. It’s like there is some sort of mismatch between what their brain models about the world and how things really are.
