ALFRED Food Report by Concierge Kawahara

In close proximity to Ebisu station. A café nestled quietly in an alleyway one block from the main street.
Landmarked by this gentleman.

This is a location near Shibuya/Ebisu where “fashionable people” gather.
Once past an extraordinarily narrow entrance, you enter a darkened (extremely dark) interior.

Inside, you will find a wide counter top and several table seats. You can spend a relaxing time wherever you sit.

The quiet yet polite service provided is also attractive.

Each cup of coffee is brewed carefully after an order has been placed, so it does take a while until your coffee is served.

However, the time you spend waiting for your coffee feels like a luxury.

The café recommends black coffee with hot sandwiches.

An English menu is provided after the Japanese.
It is a café during the day, and a bar at night, and you will definitely wish you could visit the place twice to experience both.

For those who are tired of drinking “coffee at Starbucks”. Why not have a distinct café experience in Japan? It’s a café you want to visit even if you are coming from a place far from Ebisu.
