It's no secret that traditional social media is less-than-friendly toward new crypto startups. And who can blame them? The space is new, it's hard to reliably vet every project, and there really are scams and dishonest projects that can make people lose tons of money.

So we're not mad at the tech giants for being diligent. But it does beg the question, where can an honest crypto startup advertise and build a community?

And this is where Minds and CRBN emerge as the obvious answers.

CRBN.io is an emerging social platform targeted directly at crypto users. A combination of Twitter-style social media and indispensable cryptocurrency and DeFi-related tools, CRBN is sure to attract all the best minds in the cryptospace. That's why we think it makes perfect sense for AlgoVest to have a presence there as early as possible.

CRBN is still in its infancy, but we've been testing their beta platform and we're convinced their marketing tools for crypto teams will be an incredible asset for our community building and advertising efforts. We're aware that there are tactics currently being exploited by many new projects which offer tempting short-term growth. An army of bots can be purchased to upvote/reward a post about a project on coin-shilling subreddits, or Youtube/Twitter influencers can be purchased to give a dishonest approval of your project, or you can send your army of bots to raid Elon Musk's accounts. All of these methods lead to pump and dumps, and then your project will forever be associated not just with the manipulated price movement, but with the shady tactics used to promote it.

We're not advertising strictly to grow our valuation and token price - our project is already built to apply upward token price pressure; we're advertising in order to build a community of smart early adopters who can be trusted to make good decisions when our DAO goes live.
