Helping users engage in activities with positive impact on society and the environment
Alipay Ant Forest, which is accessed through the app, attracted 500 million users to take part in low-carbon activities such as cycling and paying bills online in return for points, resulting in over 100 million real trees planted in China’s arid regions. On the Alipay Love Donation Platform, over 1.2 billion individual donations have been made, helping over 1,400 NGOs and philanthropic organizations raise proceeds for charitable causes.

Alipay helps merchants in 54 countries or regions connect with Chinese customers offline
Bricks-and-mortar merchants such as restaurants, hotels, and convenience stores use Alipay to provide tourists from China with payment and lifestyle experiences that they are familiar with from home. According to Nielsen, nearly 60% of overseas merchants that adopted Alipay reported growth in both foot traffic and revenue.
Chinese tourists can now pay with Alipay at more than 300,000 merchants in Japan, six times more than a year ago, Ant Financial CEO Eric Jing revealed at a tourism forum in Tokyo
