The brain is fucking incredible.
There’s no other way to say it.
As I write this, I think about how this gelatinous organ inside my skull controls everything I am, everything I feel, and everything that makes me moan with pleasure when I’m in bed with someone.
Yes, we’re talking about brain injuries, but I can’t help thinking about how everything in our lives, including sex, depends on this organ that many ignore until something goes to shit.
Recently, a group of experts from 14 countries developed a new system to evaluate traumatic brain injuries. For 51 years, we’ve used the same outdated scale to determine whether a brain injury was mild, moderate, or severe.
But you know what?
The brain is too complex to be reduced to three categories, just as sex is too complex to be reduced to “stick it in and pull it out”.
