We Agreed We Would Never Repeat or Have Sex with Friends
You’re Happier This Way and You Don’t Even Know It
There are rules people create to protect themselves.
Rules they invent to pretend they have control over the chaos that is life. And then there are those rules they establish in relationships, as if they were sacred contracts, especially when it comes to sex.
But the truth?
The truth is that these rules are as fragile as glass in an earthquake.
I know several couples who agreed they would never fuck friends, it seemed like a brilliant idea. After all, who wants to mix everything up? Friendships are precious, sex is complicated, and combining the two? A recipe for disaster, right?
Wrong.
What I discovered by observing these people is that sex with friends can be the best fuck of their lives precisely because there’s already a connection, an intimacy they don’t have with some random stranger they met on an app.
I’m not saying to go right now and call your best friend to propose a hookup.
What I’m saying is that these absolute rules that many create — “never with friends,” “never repeat” — are often based on fear, not wisdom.
