Pornography is not going to disappear. Period.
You can close your eyes, cover your ears, pretend it doesn’t exist, but it’s still there.
And while we pretend it isn’t about us, millions of people consume pornography every day without the slightest idea of what they are actually watching.
I’m not here to preach morality or tell you what you should or shouldn’t do with your bodies.
I’m here to talk to you about something that should be obvious but apparently isn’t: we need to know how to read pornography just as we know how to read a movie or a book.
Because, like those, pornography is a construction, a fantasy, a representation that can be very far from reality.
How many of you have ever questioned what you see when you watch pornography?
