Did I Grumble Too Much? Why Are Reads Down?

My views seem to have taken a dive recently. You might think it’s because I stopped trying to write boostable articles and the quality slipped, but that doesn’t make sense. No one misses them because no one liked them in the first place! The articles that took the most work to write got the fewest reads. It wasn’t paying off. Changing tack made total sense.

So why have my reads tailed off this month? Less publishing? Crappy subjects? Maybe everyone’s busy preparing for Christmas? Or did I grumble too much, about falling earnings, lack of boosts, and is everyone tiring of the misery.

If that’s it, I don’t blame you, but then my happy stories about Christmas lights and joviality didn’t get much traction either.

Last Christmas, I had a total surprise when I re-published some stories from previous years and a couple got boosted. I don’t think I can pull that off again! Last December was good! Surprisingly so!

This year is looking not so good. But, I guess it’s early. Maybe my December’s fortunes will turn around. After all, towards the end of the month everyone has a lot of free time, and many workplaces are closed until January. People might get some gift memberships and come over to read our stuff.
