DOGE Commends Medium For Cutting Back Waste

Slashing writers’ earnings by 90%

In January when Medium employed its guerrilla tactic of GLAD (Gaslight, Lie, And Deny) to slash its payments to writers by 90% while telling writers they were imagining things, many wondered if the company would survive such an act of blatant disrespect towards its members and writers.

While many writers complained and left to Substack, many remained and hoped things would get better. But well into March, earnings remained in the pennies, and the Medium Newsletters were pretending everything was going on as normal.

This brazen act was so impressive to Elon Musk and the team at DOGE, that they wondered why they didn’t think of it themselves.

In a meeting with his cost-cutting team at DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), Elon Musk proposed the following —

“Why don’t we just stop paying government employees and when they get their new pay check of 90% slashed earnings we can tell them they are only 5% of the workforce?
