Youā€™ve probably all heard by now that Dr Mehmet Yildiz from Illumination Publications has taken umbrage with the Medium boost program, is no longer a boost nominator, and has moved to Substack for the bulk of his writing work.

This is in response to falling earnings, Aidenā€™s removal from the boost program, and a general sense of disillusionment with the Medium platform and the boost.

He now says the boost program only benefits a minority. So he wants to refocus on helping everyone, not just the select few.

So heā€™s changing tack, and says heā€™s refocusing his efforts to support all writers through his publications, books, and on Substack, without participating in the boost program.

When the boost program first began, Dr Mehmet was enthusiastic about it, seeing boost as a great opportunity to elevate the best writing on Medium. He asked me to write something for boost, but I declined because I didnā€™t have the knowledge for the proposed piece, and didnā€™t think itā€¦
