I Ordered A Medium-Sized Juice Boost

And metamorphosed into a better human

It was late in the evening and I was already flagging, despite still having three more kids to tutor. How would I get through it all without crashing or getting 404'd?

Down the road was a Juice Boost stand. I ordered a medium sized orange and banana boost. This would boost my energy and boost my confidence.

I then metamorphosed into a better human for my students. They were so impressed they called me Coach Carlo. Their parents were paying me more than pennies.

I told my kids they would need to find their way beyond their echo chambers if they wanted to succeed in life. I told them they would need to study data science and self-improvement.

I also told them that winners do their push-ups and sit-ups on horse stall mats. I said to them it was time to put away childish toys. I told them the world was made for sharks and wolves, not dreamers and do-gooders.

I said ‘dreamers’ and ‘do-gooders’ in a tone that suggested they were dirty words, just so my kids were crystal clear about my meaning.
