Medium Cocked Up!
Ooops!
Last month was a good month. I earned a fair bit more than usual. Maybe it helped that I was back from Wales engaging on the platform again, because since April, Iāve been away an awful lot, renovating a house.
So, imagine my surprise to get an email saying my money will be rolled over to next month, until it reaches the $10 minimum payout threshold. Iāve earned a lot more than that!

This email is to let you know that your Medium Partner Program earnings will rollover to the following month and continue to accumulate until they meet the $10 minimum payout threshold. Your current rollover balance is $450.71.
I hopped over to Medium Help to say, āUm, I think youāve made a mistakeā. And it looks like a couple of hundred people got there before me! Theyāve been inundated with reports.
They now have a notice at the top of the help page:
September 5- Partner Program emails notifying people that their payouts would rollover were sent out erroneously. We will follow up with the correct emails soon. Thereās no need to file a support ticket about this, as it will be corrected soon.
So, you can all relax. They are not rolling over your $1000 payment because itās below the $10 limit. Theyāve just make a mistake and it will be rectified soon. Thanks Medium!
