Medium Is Still Not Better. Will the Repair Team Arrive Soon?

1. Medium is good.
2. Medium needs to be improved.

Both of those statements can be true without contradiction.

I’ve been saying for years that Medium has the potential to be a great Web site that can be transformative for the Internet.

Can Medium Avoid Becoming Just Another Website?

That was 2021. It’s fair to say that Medium has avoided sinking into the memified morass of most of the rest of the Internet. Medium is relatively free of trolls and bots, and that’s great. Medium staff are doing a great job in eliminating fake accounts and bad actors. There are many things that Medium does that deserves praise.

That doesn’t mean that there aren’t problems that need to be fixed. Last July I wrote a small set of suggestions on how Medium could become better.
