Since Mediumā€™s pay rates fell to near zero, many writers have been crying in their cuppa soup (because itā€™s all they can afford to eat these days).

But fear not dear Mediumites, because Medium is still paying us for old stories. I am going to share mine top 6 in the order of the most readsā€¦

Itā€™s odd looking back. This next story touched a nerve. It had 20k reads and earned $501. It turned out, a year later, that my husband has Parkinsonā€™s disease. So I was right to be concerned. This is not normal aging.

The piece was supposed to be written in a matter-of-fact light hearted manner, but I can see how people who hit the *rage* button might not have seen it that way.

This one accrued 8.2k reads. It turned out to be likely hyperbole. My source was a news account, reporting a supposed legitimate twitter account. Anyway, it earned $148. The Kremlin denied everything the following morning. Obviously. Have you seen Putin on his horse? šŸ™‚
