Why the US Is Actually 12 Nations (Not 50 States)
12 Nations Govern All 50 and You Don’t See It
Washington passes a federal law. It applies equally to all 330 million Americans. From Alaska to Texas. From New York to Louisiana. From California to Alabama.
One law. One country.
Except it’s not one country. It never was.
The United States is 12 distinct nations forced to operate under a single political system that doesn’t adequately serve any of them.
The lines on the map lie. They show 50 states with perfectly drawn borders. But those lines were traced by politicians in Washington who never set foot on the ground. Who never considered culture. History. Values. Identity.
They cut cultural regions in half. Joined incompatible peoples. Created artificial states that don’t correspond to any human reality.
If you redrew the map based on culture, history, political values, and regional identity? You’d see 12 completely distinct territories. Each one functioning as an independent nation in everything but name.
Yankee Dom. New Netherlands. Midlands. Tidewater. Greater Appalachia. Deep South. Spanish Caribbean. New France. El Norte. Far West. Left Coast. Hawaii.
