Schedule Refresh Power BI dataset with Power Automate!

There are 2 ways from which we can refresh the Power BI dataset in the Power BI Service.

1. Manual Refresh —

Manual refresh is not always a good option when your data source is updated on a regular basis.

2. Schedule Refresh —

It overcomes the disadvantage of Manual Refresh where we can refresh the dataset at any given point of time as per our need!

In the above 2 cases, we require to configure various other things to make it on going like a Data Gateway, Pro Licence etc.

We can use Power Automate to refresh the dataset just like schedule refresh without paying for Pro Licence or Premium!

If we decide to pay for the Pro Licence we can only schedule refresh for 8 times a day and for Premium 48 times a day.

With the help of Power Automate, we can refresh the dataset multiple times in a day.

Step 1. Select the Calander and create manual events in it like 50 times a day.

Step 2. Select the Workspace and the Dataset to be refreshed.

Step 3. As and when the event occurs in the calendar the dataset will be refreshed.

I have tested this and works fine for me!
