And marketers clearly understand that and ready to invest in video ads more and more. But nothing is that simple.
Problem
Most marketers say that it`s really difficult to create a video ad, to find the right place and time for it and of course to lead the users directly to the online shop.
Solution
At Sarafan Technology Inc. we came up with a solution. We developed a machine learning engine Sarafan.AI. The system identifies objects in videos, recognizes products and searches for similar ones in online shops.
All the searched results are demonstrated in widgets. The viewer can click the button and go for shopping right from the video player. Regardless of the device- Sarafan widgets work on mobile, desktop and even Smart TV.
Sarafan can work with every type of products: clothes, shoes, gadgets and even services and events. We can simply replace these headphones with an ad of a Rita Ora concert.
Business Model
Our goal is to create an ecosystem which is comfortable for advertisers and publishers. Along with our partners, we work on a revenue-sharing model — retailers pay platforms and 50% goes to Sarafan.

We work in a fast-growing and prospective market. According to statistics this market will double in size within the next 10 years.
Competition
Of course, we’re not the only company doing this. We have very great competitors. But we feel our competitors motive us and give us a tremendous incentive to constantly improve. This leads us to be the first start-up which taught its engine to recognize objects in streaming.
Traction
Our approach and determination helped us to attract more than 100 partners in 2018. These are both well-known media brands and small platforms with a limited but loyal audience in Russia and Germany.
