A Moment of Peril Continues
ADB-210903#325

A Moment of Peril was created in 1881 by the English sculpture Sir Thomas Brock. It depicts an indigenous American fighting with a giant snake. I took this at the Rosenborg Castle Gardens in Copenhagen in 2018. I have added a fake lens flare and snake teeth. I imagine the snake represents colonialism and the horse represents the natural world. I don’t believe this was Brock’s original intent.
