What is your exit strategy? How does one escape the obvious, the mundane, the obligatory? How does one take leave from the clutches of time? From the annals of history, from the decay of permanence? How does one ensure a sure thing? How does one employ the lifeboat, the safety hatch, the escape pod? EXIT is usually a door that leads to more doors. Shouldn’t it tell you how many are left—like a videogame? And would user testing discover that no one wanted to open a door labelled “FINAL EXIT”?
