Oil on asphalt
ADB-160316#153

Who says oil and water don’t mix?
Yesterday it was grey and rainy. As I was hastening to work, head down, I hopped over this pothole. The image struck me and an immediate dilemma arose: should I stop, in the rain, in front of passersby, and take a picture of a puddle? It took two more strides to decide. I turned back and captured this surreal image of oil flowing over asphalt in melting rainbows of vibrant colour.
Two things:
- The best camera is the one that you have with you but also use.
- Stop and smell the potholes.
Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. —Ferris Bueller
