Alright, I’ve talked about it a few times in passing here but my very favorite video game (literally the game that got me into wanting to play VGs) is Stardew Valley. I would describe it as a mix of Animal Crossing and Minecraft.
Basically, you’re a person who inherited your grandfather’s old farm in this cute little town filled with interesting characters. You get to farm and grow crops, go fishing, go mining, and raise animals. There are some characters in the game who are single, and you can build relationship hearts with them and potentially get married and have up to 2 children (and yes, for my LGBTQ+ folks, same-sex marriage and adoption are featured).
There are side-quests that you can get from the people in the town, however, it won’t necessarily affect you if you don’t do them; they’re simply a chance at extra money, relationship points, or both.

There’s so much more to the game (witchcraft, travel, boating, you name it), but, there’s my brief overview. PS you get a cat or a dog to live on your farm, or neither if you so choose.

Basically, my writing idea for this, which I’m curious to see if anyone is interested in, is starting a brand new farm just to share with you guys.
I would write out everything I do each and every single day in-game and share it with you guys. Maybe it will give you tips if you decide to create your own farm, or maybe you could give ME tips if you see something I could be doing better!
I’d like to include how much of the materials I harvest/use every day, what I sell and how much it sold for (as that is included in a nice report EOD), as well as other funny dialog I run into or just random quirks.
