Everything you need to know about writing for All Things Books Club:
What do we publish?
We publish all different types of articles, as long as it is about books, reading or the publishing industry your article has a good chance of being published.
This is a new publication and our goal is to be a safe and positive place on the internet to share your thoughts and feelings and to form a friendly bookish community.
Also please note that you remain the author and owner of the content even after you have posted it, so feel free to promote it on your own social media!
Submission Guidelines
Now down to the nitty-gritty details of what we expect in the article that we accept. Although we would love to accept everyone’s articles, we need to ensure that we have good quality content in our publications.
What we want:
- Correct Spelling: We expect all articles to be free of spelling errors. It does not matter to us if you use US or UK spelling, however please be consistent.
- Grammar: Please ensure that you use correct grammar, you do not need to be a professional, however we do expect that your writing is understandable and enjoyable to read.
- New and interesting article topics: We encourage new and interesting article topics as long as they are about books and/or the publishing industry.
- Images: Please ensure that you use images in your article and please ensure you credit the photographer/owner of the photo.
What we DO NOT want:
- Plagiarism: Please ensure that all of the content that you submit is your own and that you credit the other sources that you have used if you have used any.
- Profanities: Please ensure that there are no profanities in your articles, this includes describing illicit content. If you wish to discuss a book that contains illicit content just ensure that you are careful about the words you use.
- Clickbait: We encourage creative attention-grabbing titles, however please do not use clickbait in your title.
- Promotions: You are more than welcome to link your social media but this is not a place to sell or promote your products. Also please follow Mediums guidelines on affiliate links.
