My Hair Loss Journey
Hair loss — this is not the most exciting topic, but I hope someone finds it insightful and valuable. A few years after my second child was born, I noticed a significant hair loss. I would swipe my hands through my hair, and lots of hairs would come out all at once. I did not take it seriously for a year until, one day.
In this post, I want to share my experience and offer tips and tricks for female hair loss.
About three years after my second child was born, I started to lose hair. At first, I was not very concerned. After all, I had lots of hair, so who cares if I lost a few hundred strands? After about a year, I suddenly noticed how thin and sparse my hair had become. One day, the light hit my hair at a certain angle, and I could see through to my scalp; this was an eye-opening moment.
The fear swept through me — what if I lose all my hair?
I decided it was time to do something about my hair loss to save what I had left.
Dermatologist
The first item on the to-do list was to make an appointment to see a dermatologist. I called my doctor’s office to make an appointment, but the next available visit was in September. I took it.
