The following websites represent many perspectives: Objectivist, Libertarian, and Conservative. Some have an underlying agenda of which you and I may personally disagree. But they have intellectual arguments worthy of consideration and reasoned debate. Many have ideas that could be implemented, especially now. Most have a lot to say about the government response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the government response.

Institute for Justice: Spearheads the legal fight for economic liberty, educational choice, private property, and the First Amendment. This is particularly crucial during this COVID-19 lockdown.

Cato Institute: Think Tank Research and scholarly work on government overreach, regulation, and threats to freedom. Right now, they are covering the COVID-19 crisis among their many areas of concern.

Free Republic: A Conservative (“God, Family, Country”) website with links to just about everything religious conservatives would find of value.

The Federalist Society: “An organization of 60,000 lawyers, law students, scholars, and other individuals who believe and trust that individual citizens can make the best choices for themselves and society.”

Ayn Rand Institute: A definitive source for learning about Ayn Rand and how her philosophy of Objectivism can revolutionize the world — and your life.

The Atlas Society: The other main institution (in de facto competition with The Ayn Rand Institute) devoted to spreading the ideas of Ayn Rand and her philosophy. As with ARI, the Atlas Society Website has much to offer.

Foundation for Economic Education: This is a whole new look for FEE, geared especially for young people to help them learn free-market principles.

Freedom House: Website devoted to the status of Freedom worldwide. Every country is graded on such issues as Authoritarian Reach, Election Integrity, Human Rights, Media Freedom, Religious Freedom, Freedom of Expression, and a host of other areas. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, particular attention is paid to how governments have responded.

Reason Magazine: “Free Minds, Free Markets” is on their masthead. This longtime Libertarian publication continues to offer a plethora of essays and articles to help make that a reality.

The New Ideal: This is a creation of The Ayn Rand Institute, focusing on Reason, Individualism, and Capitalism. Right now, they have an extensive collection of material on the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, they have a wealth of articles on Objectivism & Philosophy, Morality & Religion, Culture & Politics, Science & Progress, Foreign Policy, and Free Speech.

Manhattan Institute: “A free-market think tank focusing on Economic Growth, Education, Energy and Environment, Health Care, Legal Reform, Public Sector, Race, & Urban Policy”

Lew Rockwell.com: Just when you thought you knew what’s going on, this site will turn your thinking upside down. It’s a provocative “anti-state — anti-war — pro-market” website full of controversial theories, radical libertarianism, and anarchism. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but nevertheless, you can make up your own mind.

American Enterprise Institute: Long-time think tank that offers detailed analysis of Economics, Foreign and Defense Policy, Society and Culture, Health Care, Politics and Public Opinion, Poverty Studies, and Education.

Ludwig von Mises Institute: Website devoted to spreading the ideas of the great Austrian School economist, Ludwig von Mises. Libertarian Murray Rothbard and his ideas have also become part and parcel of this organization.

Capitalism.org: Everything you ever wanted to know about Capitalism but were afraid to ask. It contains a stunning “Capitalism Visual Tour.”

The Heritage Foundation: Traditional and longstanding organization devoted “to formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense.”

The American Spectator: The always provocative publication that’s willing to skewer the politicians and policies in need of skewering.

Western Hero: Although it hasn’t been updated for quite some time, the information and links on this site are invaluable.

Frontpage Magazine: On their masthead is the quote, “Inside Every Progressive Is A Totalitarian Screaming To Get Out.” This publication may help prevent them from getting out.

The Objective Standard: Objectivist author and lecturer, Craig Biddle created a first-class publication not only for Ayn Rand admirers, but for anyone interested in reason, purpose, and self-esteem.

City Journal: I’m always impressed with this journal. Here’s how they describe themselves: City Journal is the nation’s premier urban-policy magazine, “the Bible of the new urbanism,” as London’s Daily Telegraph puts it. During the 1990s, City Journal was integral to the revitalization of New York City. The Public Interest called it “the magazine that saved the city.” None of that would surprise me. Great publication!

Meanwhile, Be brave. Be bold. Be free.
