My best friend visited my office and said, "Decluttering your paper and digital files will improve your productivity, reduce your stress, and enhance your focus, and I won't visit you again until you do that."

Yes, I have a friend who is willing to observe what others overlook and speak his mind fearlessly. Once he said that I accepted his challenge.

The following day, I arrived at my office early and began sorting through my files, asking myself one question: Have I used this file in the last five years? If the answer was no, I discarded it. As I sifted through the files, I experienced a sense of liberation.

After discarding each item, my space became more organized and my mind clearer. By the end of the day, I felt a newfound sense of peace. This personal challenge improved not only my environment but also my outlook on life.

I used to work with someone who found a way to complain about anything; even if a random person donated money to a charity, she would always say, "What is their movie?"
