I attended a TEDx event by Joya Dass last week and heard Katie Goar say, “This is only one chapter in the book of your life!”

That was so true, and it was just what I needed to hear.

Life often demands adaptability, especially in times of unforeseen professional upheaval.

A seismic shift is happening in my world this quarter.

I meticulously planned a series of Medium articles focused on coping with seasonal depression at work and embracing the reflective themes of fall. These topics felt timely, offering a personal and professional touchstone for readers navigating similar challenges.

But then, when Paramount announced a reduction in force that directly impacted my team, my writing priorities took an immediate pivot. Suddenly, the task was no longer about sharing my journey through seasonal affective disorder (SAD) and autumn-inspired musings; it was about finding resilience and clarity at an unsettling career crossroads.

This shift in focus stemmed from the urgent need to address personal and team-wide morale.
