ABOUT THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN

Problems of the substitution of meanings, shifting of emphases and inaccuracies in the Bible translations. Personal experience and understanding

Legends of the world religions, ancient beliefs, as well as the legends of various peoples of the world have preserved predictions about the signs of the End of times. The events described in them are coming true in our time with amazing accuracy. The only remaining question is: do we, modern humanity, see the globality of the Changes that are taking place nowadays, and do we understand our responsibility for our personal spiritual destiny?

In Christian eschatology, including the Revelation of John the Evangelist, there are many predictions, particularly about the coming of the Son of Man. Why do many people in Christianity, without analyzing, perceive His coming as the Second Coming of Jesus Christ? What was the basis for such conclusions? What did Jesus really say about the coming of the Son of Man?

The understandings that will be described in this article were at a certain point in time revealed to me in the video The Service with participation of Igor Mikhailovich Danilov on the ALLATRA TV YouTube channel, and this video inspired me to subsequent analysis. It was this video that revealed to me a very different, broader understanding of the Holy Scripture fragments related to this subject. This time, a more thorough reading of the New Testament from the perspective of new information gave rise to new insights and comprehension of this subject. These insights are quite different from my past unsuccessful experience of spiritual search of a person who, back then, had a selfish, consumerist mindset and a very narrowed scope of certain religious beliefs, yet had a great thirst for new knowledge. That’s the kind of a person I was until I came across the books by Anastasia Novykh.

To begin with, for a more accurate analysis, it is best to take an unbiased look at what Jesus Christ Himself said about the coming of the Son of Man.

Below are the excerpts from the New Testament:

40 So be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at a time when you don’t expect him.
(Luke 12:40)
8 I tell you, he will give them justice quickly. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”
(Luke 18:8)
27 because just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
(Matthew 24:27)
31 When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
(Matthew 25:31)

If we do not rely on conventional opinions and patterns of perception but look objectively, we can clearly see from the speech of Christ that Jesus personally did not mention His own name, nor did He say “I will come in the body,” or “the one I am talking about is me,” and so on. Moreover, in the same sentence uttered by the Saviour, it can be seen more than once that He speaks of Himself in the first person, and of the Son of Man in the third person, as of someone else.

38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.
(Mark 8:38)

Although there are plenty of substantiating examples, people’s consciousness can find loopholes for “its” arguments even here. After all, it is said, “the Son of Man,” that is, the son of an ordinary man. But He will come as a messenger from God and, consequently, will be both the Son of Man and the Son of God. This is precisely the way the Bible refers to Jesus Christ because His other, spiritual nature, which is invisible to the earthly eye, is known in Christianity. Whereas, the Spiritual Being, coming to Earth from the World of God, comes in a body like that of an ordinary man, which will be born of ordinary people, otherwise, people simply will not be able to see it. The Bible itself tells us that the One who will come at the end of times must be born in a body, meaning, born as a human, calling Him the Son of Man.

However, in the understanding of a believer, to whom the representatives of various religious organizations have previously given an explanation (and we should realize that each organization primarily pursues its own economic goals) the Son of God is exclusively Jesus Christ. Accordingly, the coming of the Son of Man is also interpreted exclusively as the coming of Jesus Christ. In the New Testament, we repeatedly come across the clarification of the phrase “only-begotten son” in the meaning of “the only son.” But if we rely not on the translation, but on the Greek language, we see that it does not actually correspond to the generally accepted interpretations of the Church and does not fit within the framework of biblical theology.

The word “only-begotten” is already a translation of the Greek word μονογενης (“monogenés”), which literally means: μόνος, “one,” and γένεσις, “origin.” The term “monogenés” indicates a single origin as opposed to “only-begotten,” which is interpreted as the only born. The difference in meaning is obvious. I mean, the origin of Jesus Christ as the Son of God in Greek understanding means His origin from the One Primordial and Eternal Spiritual World, that this origin is primary and real in contrast to the secondary material origin of His earthly body. It does not mean at all that there have not been and there will not be other messengers from the World of God, but it points to their common spiritual nature, that they are all of one kind, that they all have one father — one God. Apart from that, this word can also mean one divine origin of all things, as other verses in the Bible confirm, including John 1:

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 He was in the beginning with God.

3 All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.
(John 1:1–3)

Also, the explanation of the doctrine of unigeniture takes as its basis the dogma of the triunity, of the Holy Trinity, of the inseparable essence of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The official opinion of the organization is that, apparently, it cannot be anyone else but Christ Himself. If we consider it from the standpoint that God has only one Son, then everything fits together for the understanding of believers. Yet, who is God in the true meaning of the word? Is it someone singular, isolated and separated from the entire Spiritual world? No. God is precisely the boundless Spiritual World, God is precisely Love. Didn’t Jesus Himself say about the Spiritual World that It is One in many and Many in oneness? Isn’t the Spiritual World boundless when it comes to the infinite number of Its Angels, or, let’s put it in earthly terms, Its inhabitants? For that very dogma of the triunity explains both the indivisibility, the integrity of the Spiritual World, and at the same time refutes the false notion that God is someone singular.

Christianity attests that God is One in His essence and is a trinity in the Hypostases: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Today the word hypostasis in Christianity is interpreted as a “person”. This is how the word is partly translated, but the translation itself also denotes “essence,” which implies a different meaning. The Greek word hypóstasis — υπόστασις literally means “underlying substance”. Initially, during the first centuries this word was not used in the established religion of Christianity in general, just as there was no established doctrine of the triunity of God. As for the popular expression “Son of God,” it did not refer exclusively to the essence of Christ, although it did not contradict the fact of Jesus’ divine nature. Originally, the definition of hypostasis was synonymous with the word essence. However, owing to the efforts of the Cappadocian Fathers of the Church, the emphasis was shifted so as to be able to characterize the newly accepted doctrine. In the 4th century, in vigorous debate and opposition to religious dissent, a unified dogmatic view was adopted. In other words, the term “Son of God” came to be perceived by the fathers of the organization (and accordingly by believers) not as a definition that characterized a Being from the World of God — a Spiritual Being who had come into the material earthly world, but as a specific Person, that is, solely the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

What was it done for? Was it done out of Love and faithfulness to God? Out of Love for Christ and His teaching? No. This was, sort of, elimination of inconvenient and undesirable facts for the organization which was strengthening its religious authority over the flock at that time. Moreover, the above-listed examples clearly show how a translation which is made with a shift in emphasis changes the meaning and misleads people. From that time until the present day, not only has it become a commonly accepted base for the religion of Christianity, but it has also become a major theological problem and an unresolved question. Such a consequence is natural for a situation when the Truth is made more complicated, and when distortions take place in the pure Teaching by means of narrow human interpretations from the mind and wrong translations. At the same time, the word hypostasis indicates the integrity and unity of the Spiritual World. It does not single out anyone, it does not separate His Representatives, and yet at the same time it characterizes the individuality of each spiritual Being dwelling in the World of God, and their inseparable interconnection and absolute harmony.

That’s precisely what is mentioned in the video The Service with the participation of Igor Mikhailovich Danilov on the ALLATRA TV YouTube channel:

Tatiana: Igor Mikhailovich, you have also said that the Spiritual World is multitude in unity and unity in multitude. Who is God?

Igor Mikhailovich: The Spiritual World. God is not a unit, but it’s a unit. The Spiritual World is perceived holistically, as one. One eternal and endless — that’s who God is. Just as a human body consists of a multitude of cells, just as the entire material world consists of tiny particles, in the same way the Spiritual World consists of Angels which are God. But God is one, because He is the Spiritual World. It’s not a guy with a beard. It’s much more.”

Based on the aforesaid facts, we return to the question of the coming of the Son of Man at the End of times. In the New Testament, we can read how Jesus Christ promised his disciples that he would send another Comforter to testify about him:

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
(John 14:16)
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
(John 15:26)

I would like to emphasize the words “He shall testify.” The very wording implies that the Comforter will come into this material world in a body so that people can hear his testimony.

It is interesting that many do not draw an association between the topic of the End of times, the coming of the Son of Man, and the advent of the Comforter, but Holy Scripture itself shows us this direct interconnection:

7 But I tell you the truth; it is better for you that I go away, for if I may not go away, the Comforter will not come to you, and if I go on, I will send Him to you;

8 and having come, He will convict the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment;

9 concerning sin indeed, because they do not believe in Me;

10 and concerning righteousness, because I go away to My Father, and you behold Me no more;

11 and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

(John 16:7–11)

In other words, another Comforter will come who will convict, will judge, will proclaim righteousness and the Truth, the Judge will come. Isn’t precisely this Judge referred to in the end-times legends, where the Son of Man is mentioned?

32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

(Matthew 25:32)

27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

(Matthew 16:27)

Several excerpts from the New Testament are also cited below. At first glance, they seem to contradict each other and may lead to certain misunderstandings, but let’s take a deeper look at them.

18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.

20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.

(John 14:18–21)

26 But the Comforter, [even] the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you.

27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.

28 Ye heard how I said to you, I go away, and I come unto you. If ye loved me, ye would have rejoiced, because I go unto the Father: for the Father is greater than I.

(John 14:26–28)

Many may ask, “How is it that the world will not see, but His disciples will? How will Christ come to them if He will not come to the material world anymore?” There is a clear distinction here between spiritual unity, when exactly the invisible contact with the World of God by means of feelings is important, and the perception of the external material three-dimensionality by limited consciousness. A detailed answer is given in the video The Service on ALLATRA TV International Internet television:

Igor Mikhailovich: And here He (Jesus) means only those who are able to comprehend it. He doesn’t say a word here about the whole world or anything else, He says: will teach you all things and will tell you the truth, but only for those who are able to accept and hear it, and who are able to feel it, because this truth is perceived, as they used to say, with one’s heart, with an open heart, while a lie is perceived through consciousness.”

Igor Mikhailovich: …But what was said here? Jesus clearly said that He wouldn’t come here anymore… But He said that He’d come to everyone with His Father, that is, He means the Spiritual World, and He clearly defines the Spiritual World, but this is not interpreted, it’s been forgotten.

And the most interesting thing is that the first Christians knew about it, while in the organization, I emphasize, like Christianity, they don’t know about it. It’s inconvenient, and it was removed. But precisely unity in the Spiritual World was mentioned, “I am in you, you are in Me, I am in the Father, the Father is in Me,” that is, it’s multitude in unity and unity in multitude — that’s the essence of the Spiritual World, it is boundlessness, wholeness and eternity, it is Love, first and foremost, for there can be not even a shadow of sadness in the Spiritual World. Where the Light prevails, there can be no shadows, there’s no hatred and fear, and all the rest.

…But here it’s clearly told about the Spiritual World, a clear understanding is given here, “When you, My disciples, My followers, reach merging, when you become spiritually free, you’ll be able to feel Me, when you love Me, then I will love you, not just Me, but also God, because He is My Father, because I am in Him and He is in Me, and He will be in you, and you will be in Me,” that is, He speaks of unity. Well, isn’t that so? After all, Jesus Christ Himself explicitly, clearly and simply speaks about this. And where is this in the understanding?”

There comes an awareness of the importance for people to mature spiritually to feel the Spiritual World and unite with It. It’s already clear that Jesus comes only spiritually, by means of feelings, in the glory of his Father, in unity with the entire Spiritual World, to His true disciples (which is everyone who is in contact with God’s World, who is filled with Love for God). He will not come to all humanity in a body, in a material sense, but while abiding in the Home of the Father, in the Boundless Spiritual World (which cannot be comprehended either by the human mind or by the earthly human gaze), Christ will be in the heart of everyone who loves and truly longs for God. He will come into the soul of the true believer. And all these millennia after His departure, Jesus does not leave his faithful and true followers who sincerely aspire to God, but all this time He is waiting for everyone in the Other World, where there is Life, Freedom, and Love. But one can come there only through Love, by constant mastering of the inner contact by inner feelings with one’s soul, which is precisely the open door to the World of God, to the World of Christ.

20 Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, 21 nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

(Luke 17:20–21)

As we can see, if we look without imposed interpretations that are beneficial to someone, even in the New Testament there are remnants of the grains of Truth. But unfortunately, just like myself in my time, many believers (or rather their consciousnesses) prefer interpretations of commentators, philistines and ordinary people more than direct speeches of the Son of God, than the Truth from God. Despite the preserved grains, unfortunately, people still keep waiting for a material apparition of Jesus, the One Who will not come to them in a body anymore, but who is always awaiting them in Eternity.

In the modern world, the topic of the coming of the Son of God and the Judgement Day is very speculative. It has been skillfully turned into a tool of controlling the masses. Nowadays, so many people blindly believe at the level of consciousness, but in practice they do not go to God. Such people confine themselves to imposed opinions and a one-sided perception by consciousness, which has formed as a result. Blind faith and fanaticism prevent them from seeing reality and cover the way to inner perception through feelings that could give them a holistic understanding and true knowledge.

When we read the New Testament, apart from the Truth, we can see additions definitely not from God, but from the plain human mind, from ordinary people who inserted their names and “their own” interpretation and basically distorted and complicated the essence of what Christ had said. They introduced plenty of misunderstandings for the next generations and made people’s way Home many times more complex.

For example, the Epistles, the Acts of the Apostles, the Revelation and many other chapters of the Bible are imbued with an imprint that the end will come soon, so Christians should fearfully wait for Jesus Christ’s return to the earth. Knowing from my own experience what kind of worries people who are obsessed with this topic undergo, I get an understanding for what purpose such mindsets are embedded in people’s consciousness. Despite the fact that the authorship, the time and the authenticity of the manuscripts themselves are far from being confirmed to this day, that all of that is disputable and dubious, the information written in the manuscripts continues to be manipulated and speculated about. This topic is widely promoted and beneficial as one more tool of attaching the flock to the organization.

Various wordings about the anticipation of the End of times and the anticipation of the Second Coming of Christ indicate a lot. An imprint was made in the consciousness of believers that it is allegedly enough to merely anticipate, not doing anything, not working on oneself, not going to God in practice, and not maintaining contact with the Spiritual World through feelings. A person should supposedly wait and hope that someday there will be Judgement and, possibly, thanks to his belonging to an organization, a building, a place or some people, God will have mercy on him, he will be among the righteous, and this is allegedly sufficient. Yet, what has a person done for that? Where’s his personal inner work on himself, rejection of egoism, pridefulness and service to satan? Where’s his sincere Love for God? Unfortunately, the worst thing has happened — a great part of society has been immobilized in the spiritual sense, in terms of working on themselves. The practice of self-improvement has been removed, and Love has been removed. Although two thousand years ago, the Saviour exposed religious and political authorities, seeing with His spiritual gaze their inner essence, their true face hidden under the mask of outward righteousness and lawfulness.

13 But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut off the kingdom of heaven from people; for you do not enter in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

14 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense you make long prayers; therefore you will receive greater condemnation.

15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you travel around on sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.

(Matthew 23:13–15)

By my example and the example of many of my friends, we can trace two extremes in the work of the system (or, speaking the language of religion, in the actions of satan). Either you plunge into this topic and accept the system’s mindsets in the light advantageous for it, with a full package of fanaticism, fears, restrictions and worries, or you completely reject it, unwilling to give yourself up to imposed negative emotions, yet becoming deaf and blind to this topic and unwilling to soberly see what is happening outside your window. In such a situation, some people, striving for God and feeling the remnants of the grains of Truth (in this case, in the Christian religion) unpack this package of fanaticism and rejection of reality. Thus, with this set of mindsets, the system loops these people who have a chance to awaken as Personalities and immobilizes them in the spiritual sense. Meanwhile, other people do not agree to accept such an enslaving position because they feel this hidden slavery, these imposed fetters, and internally strive for freedom as Personalities. At the level of their consciousness, there is absolute rejection. The system makes a substitution, driving them into materialism, total disbelief and negation. Both the first and the second groups of people confine themselves to the system’s mindsets. So eventually, at the moment they encounter the Truth, chances to see, feel and accept it decrease for both the first ones and the second ones.

These examples clearly show how skillfully in those ancient times, when the scriptures were compiled (and the true Teaching was transformed into religion as an organization), through human consciousness satan prepared the ground for subsequent manipulation of the flock and even greater attachment of people. This way, he deprived them of freedom and limited their perception so that later on they wouldn’t even try to see the Truth and become really free. This happened because the founders of the organization themselves did not embrace the Truth brought by the Son of God and did not live by it, nor did they need the Truth itself. They merely needed creation of an efficient tool for subduing the masses of people and establishing their own power.

This has led to the point that in the time of the advent of the Comforter, or the Judge, at the End of times, the consciousness of people, in whom perception through feelings is not developed, simply won’t accept and won’t see the Messenger of the Spiritual World. They have a mindset of rejecting anyone else but Jesus whose manifold image is promoted by various religious organizations. This is evidenced by the inculturation of Jesus Christ’s image among different nations of the world. And here, a question arises: if we rely on the factor of Jesus’ outwardly image, then which of these images are we expecting?

After all, it is said that the One who will come will be the Son of Man, meaning, by outwardly appearance He will be an ordinary person. Only those who sincerely strive for God and the Truth, those to whom the Truth is more important than any imposed mindsets, will be able to see the One who will be in Him. This is actually possible only via perception through feelings. That is, He can be felt and recognized, as they say, by the soul. Yet, nowadays, unfortunately, a lot of people cannot do that because they are guided by the yardsticks of matter, rely on consciousness and live by what is material, and not spiritual. At that, many don’t live by what is spiritual because they were not taught it and because, when people go to their religions in search of the Truth, they are, unfornaturely, led in the wrong direction. The reason for that is human consciousness through which the devil acts and which is part of the devil. But he acts only if people agree with the thoughts imposed on them and if they accept his mindsets. For such people, an external picture will be more important than what their hearts prompt to them.

Below, there is an excerpt from The Service video regarding the Comforter:

Igor Mikhailovich: But again, He will come only to those who are spiritually free, who strive for this freedom. Those will feel Him, while others won’t even see.”

In the past, I was exactly such a person who got entangled in search of the Truth. About 37 years ago, my attention was actively involved in looking for information about the End of times. Although inside I felt it approaching, and I wanted to be ready for it, to be in the ranks of those faithful to God, due to religious fanaticism and narrowed perception, I chose only literature that was one-sided, permissible in my religion and leaving no alternative. Those were the books, works and opinions only by the canonical authoritative figures of one particular organization. Correspondingly, I was only expecting the coming of Christ, which would be visible to my earthly eyes, in a stereotypical religious image formed in my consciousness. At the same time, I was fearfully waiting for the End of times and the coming of the Antichrist, and I feared anything I could find out on this subject.

A desire to know the Truth accompanied me throughout life. Although at times I faced difficulties due to the cultivated fetters and blinders in my consciousness, only by overstepping the imposed fears was I able to look around and objectively look at the world. And only recently I succeeded in finding, feeling, and accepting the really Living Source of truth and purity, which is incomparable to anything I had encountered before in this world full of distortions and lies. It was the knowledge from the books by Anastasia Novykh. Thanks to the books and later to the series of videos with Igor Mikhailovich Danilov, which I watched on the international online channel ALLATRA TV, I started looking at the world from a completely different perspective. A shroud fell off my eyes, the blinders were removed, and my perception of the world expanded. And most importantly, an understanding came that the Truth may be discovered only through Love and the End of times will not be scary if you maturely and consciously look at the modern world reality, see the truth holistically, work on yourself, control your consciousness, and live by the spiritual, abiding in Love.

We, the Christians who love our Jesus Christ with all our heart, should honestly answer the following questions for ourselves: what is more important to us — the Truth brought by the Son of God, or that which was added by ordinary people in subsequent centuries and millennia after Jesus had left? Is it more important for us to prepare for a meeting with Christ within ourselves by coming to the House of our Lord God or to be idle in spiritual development and wait for His coming into the material world? Is it more important for us to see the Son of God in the coming Son of Man or to reject Him? Isn’t it our paramount task as of true Christians, as of true believers who sincerely love God, to start seeing clearly, to learn to feel the Truth deep inside ourselves, to distinguish God’s Truth from lies and human falsehood, and to be honest and responsible towards God and people? The choice is up to us.
