Canyoneering

A group of friends wanted to go Canyoneering, so, we did. We went to a canyon called Foolin Around in Moab Utah. Our group is ferly accomplished for outdoors and the whole trip started perfectly.

The colors are beautiful and the canyon nice and cool when we get in deep.

It got dark and then it got tight. So tight that at some points I had to take my helmet off and turn my head so I could fit. THEN we went for a swim, in stagnant, bug and mouse infested water. Sadly we don't have photos of this part, cameras, and water…

Still, we make it out! and find that our group, as a whole, does not have enough clean drinking water. Four hours of hiking, in the desert, in the sun, after a full day of climbing and repelling a canyon… some people started to see things and all of us were not functioning.

This story might not sound too bad but for us who were there it was bad enough. For me im happy we went. We made memories and got beautiful pictures. We also learned a very important lesson without any lasting damage. Just because most of the group has enough water for themselves, does not mean it will enough for the group.
