We’ve selected our favourite street style trends from our latest London Fashion Week report…
Every London Fashion Week our trend team take to the streets to snap the super-fashionable show goers. After our photos have been organised into top trends, our team then scours social media and the web to find the exact items worn by our subjects at LFW, alongside similars too.
Here we present our 3 favourite trends, ‘Snatched’, ‘Crystallised’ and ‘XXS / XXL’ from our latest womenswear report…
1. Snatched
Still on the scene, underwear as outerwear has not yet had its time. Whilst this concept is nothing new necessarily, we’re always scouting for new updates. This season it’s all about bust accentuation, cinching in the waist and looking snatched!
Corsets are to be worn over other items and lace trims are to be out and proud. Style with oversized shirts and blazer jackets to be street style summer ready.
2. Crystallised
Grunge to glam — street style has had a re-work and is more glam than ever. Diamante detailing on jackets, dresses and trousers is no way near as OTT as it sounds and can be subtly incorporated into any look.
Diamante accessories were the big hit however with belts, earrings and bags being spotted on many. This high fashion statement is being loved by designer and high street brands alike and can be suited to anyone’s budget.
3. XXS / XXL
Bags… one extreme to the other. Last seasons teeny tiny bags have continued into SS20 (shout out to Jacquemus) however are people now beginning to realise the practicality of this fashion statement? Giant bags are back and whilst you can keep your entire overnight attire in these, we are having a tough time deciding which we prefer.
