Allpet AMA Summary (July.3)
On July 3th, we hosted AMA with Bithumb Global in our Kakao Group. If you missed our live AMA, no worries! Here’s the summary for all of the Q&A.
Q1. Can you please describe us the origin to develop Allpet? What led you to start this project?
Q1. Allpet(PET) 프로젝트는 어떻게 시작하게 되었나요?
A1. First of all, there are many pet lovers and protectors among the crew. We encountered many problems like most of pet protectors, such as food safety, high medical prices, and lack of professional feeding knowledge and etc. During the market research phase, we discovered the number of abandoned dogs has increased, together with a growing number of people raising pets. According to report from Statista, global companion animal market size can be currently estimated at annual 200 billion dollars, and the related market has been growing at a annual growth rate of 10% since 2012. However, pet services regarding medical treatment information and insurance in preparation for unexpected accidents are still at a fledgling stage. This is all because the lack of accurate information on individual characteristics of pets. Thanks to the technology of Blockchain, and the self-developed world’s first Nose Print Authentication technology, we can create a life cycle reward system that protectors and pets use together, and an ecosystem of data sharing to solve all the problems. The life of pet can’t be changed only by interest. It led us to start up the project, to create a pet’s life cycle management for happy companion animal ecosystem.

A1. 전세계 반려동물 시장 규모가 2천억 달러를 넘어서는 등 반려동물 분야는 거대한 산업 클러스터로 성장하였습니다. 반면 반려동물 관련 사료의 안전 문제, 지나친 의료 비용 문제, 체계적 사육 환경 부재 등의 문제들 역시 산재해있으며 이는 반려동물 산업의 발전에 저해요소로 작용하고 있습니다. 이러한 문제는 반려동물 산업 내 정보비대칭으로 인하여 발생하였습니다. 올펫은 혁신적인 반려동물 개체인식 및 블록체인 기술을 활용하여 기존의 정보비대칭 문제를 해결하여 모든 반려동물 관련 산업이 연결된 완벽한 생태계를 구축하기 위해 출범하였습니다. 반려동물 생애주기 관리 시스템, 빅데이터 기반의 각 반려동물 산업 간 데이터 공유 생태계를 구축하여 소유주와 반려동물 모두가 행복할 수 있는 세상을 만드는 것이 올펫의 목표입니다.
Q2. Hmm, then how can you build the happy companion animal ecosystem? can you tell us in details?
Q2. 다시 말해, Allpet(PET)의 목적은 건강하고 행복한 애완동물 생태계를 만들기 위함인데, 올펫은 어떻게 하고 있나요?
A2. Each pet has an ID which follows the pet’s whole life. Through an entity authentication ID, it is possible to connect with clinical information
such as vaccination, prescriptive medicine, surgical records and it also allow you to recommend appropriate products and services for pets. Identifiable information that can’t be forged and health records are essential for joining financial products such as insurance, trusts, and mutual aid that have emerged in advanced countries recently. By using pet’s nose print authentication technology and blockchain, Allpet will create a life cycle management platform based O2O commerce network and reward system, and pet community system. Maintaining pets’ life cycle information with development of the world’s first decentralized pet ID and PHR database, Allpet will solve the problems arising from asymmetric information and create a healthy pet ecosystem.

A2. 먼저 올펫은 각 반려동물에게 1개의 ID를 부여하는데, 이 ID는 태어나서부터 사후까지 반려동물의 모든 것을 함께합니다. 이는 반려동물에 대한 모든 정보 의료, 사료,혈통, 보험 등 생애주기 별 관련 모든 산업과 효율적으로 연동되는 것을 의미합니다. 이를 통해 소유주 및 각 반려동물 관련 업체들은 관련 데이터 공유를 통해 각 반려동물에 최적화된 환경을 제공할 수 있게 됩니다. 또한 올펫은 이러한 데이터 공유를 통해 발생한 이익을 소유주 및 반려동물 관련 업체에 보상으로 재 분배하게 됩니다. 이는 올펫이 만들어가는 생태계를 더욱 더 활성화시키는 역할을 하게 되는 등 지속적인 상승 작용을 유도합니다. 이러한 상승 작용을 통해 반려동물 산업의 성장을 저해하는 여러 문제들을 해결하고 건강하고 행복한 반려동물 생태계를 실현할 수 있습니다.
Q3. Before you said, that a pet entity ID is using the pet nose print authentication technology, can you introduce us this technology?
Q3: 반려동물마다 ID를 하나씩 부여 해 주는건 비문인식을 통해 이루어지는 건가요? 이 기술을 소개해줄수 있나요?
A3.The conventional identification authentication technology such as embedded chip inserting method(RFID), external chip attachment method, arterial authentication method, iris authentication method have various problems like these may damage to animal body, low authentication rate, complicate process, high cost, and etc. So we developed Nose print entity authentication technology using different nose wrinkle pattern for each pet like human fingerprint. It won’t hurt pet body, and the entity authentication rate is very high at 95.4%. Protectors can simply register a pet by using the camera of their mobile phone. It is world’s best entity authentication technology which is capable in various species such as dog, cat, cow, pig, and etc. Blockchain and nose print authentication technology based entity information cannot be forged and deleted. It is possible to easily manage abandoned and lost dogs and solve the related social problem. Protectors can easily manage medical records(date of medical exam, vaccination, prescription medicine, operation record etc.) by constructing pet ID information(species, age, gender, location, owner, and etc) based O2O clinic network. It is possible to facilitate joining financial items such as insurance, trusts and funeral service through de-centralized Pet ID and health record(PHR). It collects and analyzes the data such as entity characteristics, PHR, and purchase history to provide recommendation for pets.

A3. 전통적인 반려동물 개체인식 기술은 반려동물의 신체가 손상되거나, 높은 비용이 소요되거나, 매우 불편한 단점을 가지고 있습니다. 반면 비문인식 기술은 반려동물의 신체 손상이 없고, 비용이 소요되지 않으며, 간편하며, 인식률이 95.4%에 이르는 등 기존 반려동물 개체인식 기술의 단점을 완벽하게 보완하였습니다. 올펫의 비문인식 기술은 사람의 지문과 유사한 반려동물의 비문(코무늬)를 스마트폰 카메라로 촬영하여 간편하게 인식-인증-등록하는 기술입니다. 또한 올펫의 비문인식 기술은 개, 고양이, 소, 돼지 등 비문(코무늬)이 있는 대부분의 포유류에 적용이 가능하여 반려동물 시장을 넘어 가축시장까지 기술을 적용할 수 있는 확장성도 가지고 있습니다. 이제 올펫의 반려동물 비문인식 기술을 통해 유기견 문제의 근본적 해결이 가능해지고, 간단한 비문인식만으로 각 반려동물의 품종, 나이, 성별, 소유주, 혈통 등의 정보를 실시간으로 확인할 수 있고 이를 관련 업체에 제공하여 보다 편리하고 효율적으로 관리할 수 있게 됩니다.
Q4. As mentioned above, Allpet has a reward system. Could you introduce it?
Q4. 앞에서 Allpet(PET) 플랫폼이 보상 체계를 갖추고 있다고 말씀했는데, 소개해 주실 수 있나요?
A4. In Allpet ecosystem, PET represents a digital crypto currency that can be traded. Users can be rewarded PET through Allpet ecosystem, such as registering pet information, purchasing pet products, using O2O service, contributing to the community, and etc.
In addition to O2O commerce network, PET can also be traded on digital currency exchanges.

A4. 올펫 사용자가 반려동물 ID(비문)등록, 회원가입, 커뮤니티에 기여, 컨텐츠 구매 등의 활동을 하게 되면 올펫 토큰(PET)로 교환할 수 있는 포인트를 지급하게 됩니다. 올펫 토큰(PET)는 일종의 유통 가능한 디지털 암호화 화폐를 의미합니다. 올펫 사용자는 보상으로 받은 올펫 토큰(PET)을 이용하여, 동물병원, 온라인 쇼핑몰, O2O 서비스, 보험 등 올펫 내 다양한 유료 서비스를 무료로 이용하거나, 특정 암호화폐 거래소를 통해 거래를 할 수 있습니다.
Q5. Allpet aims to construct an industrial network for pet life cycle management, what’s your plan?
Q5. Allpet(PET) 플랫폼은 완벽한 반려동물 생태계를 조성하기 위한 것인데, 이는 어떤곳에 응용할 계획인가요?
A5. 1. We have our own online shop, all products supplies and ship information can be recorded and tracked on the chain.
2. In the Allpet platform, pet ID information(species, age, gender, location, owner etc.) can be provided to veterinary clinic through the management system, if user agrees to collect personal information, and veterinary clinic can register pet’s medical record(data of medical exam, vaccination, prescription medicine, operation record etc.) to platform and manage using blockchain. Through this, it is possible to construct O2O environment which is available for continuous care and consistent health care at any animal clinics.
3. Allpet can provide unforgeable insurant’s information to financial institutions. Furthermore, it will be possible to recommend optimized financial products (insurance, trust, funeral service) for pets.
4. In Allpet community, pet professionals can share breeding knowledge and answer questions to get PET reward.
5. By collecting and analyzing data such as entity characteristics and PHR, purchase history, it is possible to recommend various customized services for pets such as supplies, beauty, caring, hotel, dog walker, pet sitting, pet boarding, insurance, funeral service, and etc. Moreover, it is possible to acquire food record to understand pet’s eating habit and feed ingredients through food transaction history.
Allpet can construct related industrial O2O network such as production/distribution(parcel out) of entity life cycle, health, medical treatment (clinic, pharmaceuticals), finance, food, production/service (beauty, training school, hotel, pet sitter/dog walker etc.), and education, based on structured entity DB. Moreover, owners can do a rational consumption such as product searching/price comparison, points saving, and customized product recommendations through PC and mobile.

A5. 1.올펫은 온라인 쇼핑몰을 서비스하게 되며 해당 쇼핑몰에서 유통되는 모든 상품의 원료 공급지, 생산 주소, 포장 및 운송 정보가 올펫 블록체인에 기록되고 이는 모든 사용자가 검색할 수 있도록 하여 모든 유통 구조를 투명하게 공개할 것 입니다.
2. 동물병원과 협력하여 사용자가 반려동물에 대한 정보수집에 동의할 경우, 올펫 관리시스템은 반려동물에 대한 정보를 동물병원 측에 제공하고 이를 통해 신속, 정확하게 진료할 수 있도록 합니다. 또한 이러한 과정을 통해 생성된 진료정보, 진료날짜, 예방접종, 처방약, 수술기록 등은 올펫 블록체인에 등록되어, 어떤 동물병원에 가더라도 재진료없이 신속하고 효율적으로 진료받을 수 있는 환경을 제공합니다.
3. 올펫은 각 반려동물의 정보를 위변조가 불가능한 블록체인으로 기록하여 저장하며, 이러한 위변조가 불가능한 각 반려동물의 정보를 통해 정확하고 효율적이며 간편하게 보험서비스에 가입할 수 있는 환경을 제공합니다
4. 올펫의 반려동물 커뮤니티에서 활동하는 반려동물 전문가들은 올바른 사육 지식 등을 공유하고 어려운 문제에 대한 답변함으로써 커뮤니티 보상, 즉 올펫 토큰(PET)을 보상으로 받을 수 있습니다. 올펫의 반려동물 커뮤니티 사용자는 올펫 토큰(PET)을 사용하여 질문을 게시함으로써 답변자에게 일정한 올펫 토큰(PET)을 보상할 수 있게 되며 이를 통해 올펫의 반려동물 커뮤니티를 활성화하고 반려동물 사육의 시행착오를 최소화할 수 있는 환경을 제공합니다.
5. 반려동물의 PHR, 구매 기록, 생활 패턴 등의 데이터 수집 분석하여 건강, 미용, 위탁, 호텔, 산책 대행, 보험, 상조 등 다양한 맞춤형 서비스를 각 반려동물 소유자에게 맞춤형 추천이 가능하며, 사료 구매 내역을 통해 최적화된 사료 및 식단을 추천할 수 있습니다. 또한, 이를 통해 각 반려동물의 식습관을 기록하고 이를 동물병원에 공유하여 좀 더 정확한 진료가 가능하도록 합니다.
Q6. It’s a challengeable and long term work to rebuild the whole ecosystem, what’s plan for the whole ecosystem(PET token economy)?
Q6. 반려동물의 새로운 생태계 구축은 매우 어려운 도전입니다. Allpet(PET)은 새로운 반려동물 생태계를 어떻게 구축할 계획인가요?
A6. We’ve been prepared for a long time from token economy model planning, blockchain applying to token release. It is not a simple ecological transformation, but a revolution of business mode. It is a change in production, distribution, and profit distribution. It is indeed challengeable to reconstruct this huge ecosystem. We mainly plan from three aspects:
1. Optimize mobile services
Pet protectors can simply enjoy various optimized online and offline services according to pets’ lifecycle management record, LBS and life record through ID registration without any third party intervention.
2. Expand the 4th industry
Construct big data and AI based life cycle management services platform through collecting and analyzing entity data.
3. Build Pet Big Data Center
Based on the nose print entity authentication technology, build Pet Big Data Center, solve pet related problems and take an active part in the animal rights campaigns.
Besides the above, we have gradually achieved project landing in China. First, we cooperated with the AI Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University to increase the authentication rate and range, build Allpet intelligent network to improve big data analysis capabilities.
We are discussing with AIG (American International Group) to provide mutual protect insurance. Through cooperation with Chinese public security system, pet license can be applied on online with the nose print entity authentication technology. Also Shanghai News Broadcasting FM 93.4 will open a live program for Allpet, to introduce pet raising knowledge, and hold online and offline activities to raise the branding awareness of Allpet.

A6. 올펫은 반려동물 산업의 생태계를 새롭게 구축하기 위해 토큰 경제의 모델 기획부터 체인변형, 토큰 발행까지 오랜 준비기간을 거쳤습니다. 이는 단순한 경제 모델 아니라, 관련 산업 발전 모델의 전환, 생산 관계, 분배 관계, 이익 분배에 대한 혁신적인 모델이며, 이 거대한 반려동물 생태계 구축을 위해 아래의 세 가지 방향을 계획하여 진행하고 있습니다.
1. 모바일 서비스 최적화
올펫 사용자가 모바일을 이용하여 매체 등록일부터 시작하여 인증, 생애 관리 기록, LBS 및 생활 기록을 기반으로한 맞춤형 정보, 생애 관리 전체 산업의 온.오프라인 서비스 및 보상과 같은 다양한 기능을 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 하였습니다.
2. 4차산업 확대
플랫폼에서 빅데이터를 분석하여 인공지능에 기반한 각 반려동물 별 최적화된 생애관리 서비스를 제공합니다. 동시에 블록체인 기술을 활용하여 분산화된 플랫폼 사용자가 보유하고 있는 각각의 PC 포트가 하나의 서버가 되어 접속할 수 있게 되어 방대한 클라우드 서버를 형성하게 되며 이는 위변조 및 해킹이 불가능하게 됩니다.
3. Allpet으로 빅데이터 센터 구축
Allpet비문인식 기술을 기반으로, PET BIG DATA CENTER를 구축하여 반려동물 관련 문제를 해결하는 동시에, 동물 보호 단체 등 문제 해결이 필요한 수 많은 관련 단체에 솔루션을 적극 제공합니다.
위 세 가지 계획은 중국에서부터 순차적으로 적용되고 있습니다. 먼저 상하이교통대학 인공지능연구원과 협력하여, AI 기술을 통해 올펫의 비문인식 기술의 정확성과 응용범위를 향상시킬 수 있는 연구를 진행하고 있으며, 또한 올펫 스마트 네트워크를 구축하여 빅데이터 분석 능력을 향상시켰습니다.
AIG(글로벌 보험사)와 함께 다양한 반려동물 보험을 출시하여 반려동물 소유주의 과도한 의료비 지출을 줄일 계획입니다.
그리고 중국 공안 시스템과 비문인식 기술 연동하여 기전의 번거로운 반려동물 인식방식을 온라인 반려동물 비문인식으로 전환하여, 반려동물 소유주가 언제 어디서든 반려동물을 인식할 수 있도록 협의 중 입니다.
또한, 이러한 정보 및 지식을 공유하기 위하여 상해 라디오 방송 FM 93.4를 통해 생방송으로 프로그램을 진행합니다. 매일 반려동물에 대한 정보 및 지식으로 반려동물을 더 잘 보살피도록 도와주고, 오프라인 수업도 병행하여 중국 내 올펫의 영향력과 인지도를 확대해나갈 것 입니다. 또한 중국 시장 개척과 동시에 한국 시장도 적극적으로 개척할 예정입니다.
Q7. It’s reported that Allpet has carried out a charity campaign to help abandoned dogs in Korea. Why do you want to organize such a campaign?
Q7. 좀 전에 한국 시장에 대해 언급했는데, Allpet이 한국에서 유기견 보호 자선 행사를 열었다는 기사가 있었는데 어떻게 그런 행사를 열 생각을 했나요?
A7. During the market research, we discovered the number of abandoned dogs has increased, together with a growing number of people raising pets. About half of abandoned dogs were put to sleep, this is unfair to them. We thought abandoned dogs should meet new owners and live happier.
This led us to help abandoned dogs. In order to better spread this campaign, we joined the Seoul Pet Show, Super Pet Show and G-STAR, and also invited famous Korea stars Nam Da Reum, Young Ji and Sleepy as the brand speaker of Allpet. The excellent design and technology of Allpet was loved and supported by presented guests, and about 2,000 people participated in the compaign. We plan to continue to help adopt abandoned dogs into better families with our efforts.

A7. 시장조사 결과 점점 더 많은 사람들이 반려동물을 사육하고 있지만, 동시에 유기견의 수도 급격히 증가하고 있다는 것을 알게 되었습니다. 또한, 유기견의 절반이 안락사되고 있다는 사실도 알게 되었습니다. 재 입양되어 행복한 삶을 영위해야 할 유기견에게 너무 불공평하다는 생각을 하게 되었습니다.
이로 인해 올펫은 유기견 보호 운동을 진행하게 되었습니다. 이를 적극적으로 알리기 위해 서울 반려동물 Show, 슈퍼 반려동물 Show, 그리고 G-STAR 등에 참여하였습니다. 또한 반려동물을 사랑하는 남다름, 허영지, 그리고 슬리피 등의 연예인을 초대하여 ‘유기견 보호 운동’을 홍보하고 올펫 플랫폼을 소개하였습니다. 올펫 플랫폼은 현장에서 반려동물 소유주에게 큰 관심을 받았으며, 반려동물 소유주는 올펫 플랫폼이 반려동물의 행복한 생태계를 위해 반드시 필요하며 올펫 플랫폼이 출시되면 반드시 이용하겠다는 의견을 적극적으로 표했습니다. 올펫은 지금까지 이러한 다양한 유기견 보호 운동을 통해 2,000명이 넘는 기부자로부터 기부를 받았으며 이는 유기견 보호협회 등에 재 전달되어 실제 유기견 보호 운동에 도움이 될 수 있도록 하였습니다.
Q8. Allpet must have a great team to develop such a huge project, could you give a brief introduction of your team?
Q8.이처럼 거대한 반려동물 생태계 구축을 위해서는 실력있는 멤버들이 필요하겠는데요. Allpet의 주요 멤버를 소개해주실 수 있나요?
A8. Sure, I am so lucky to work with such a great team truly dedicated to Allpet. All our core members come are top companies. The CEO Mr.Shi is from Jingdong, china’s leading one-stop e-commerce platform. He is an e-commerce veteran, and expert in cross-industry resource integration with 22 years of marketing and operation experience. As we talked before, Allpet construct related industrial O2O network, his strategy and connections helps the project a lot. Mr. Li Jianying, Allpet’s CTO, he was the core developer of NEO, and a founder of NEL blockchain community. Other members are from Huawei, 360, Alibaba. They are committed to blockchain and application develop and have deep understanding and rich experience, this assures the success of Allpet.

Allpet can provide customized information such as AI based product and service recommendation through collecting and analyzing entity characteristic, PHR (medical record, prescription medicine), purchase history, food record, behavior, and etc. Big data takes a very important position in Allpet economy. O2O network relies on big data to provide customized services. Different from the traditional O2O service, we will save the user the cumbersome steps before accepting services, such as telling the pet’s living habits, signing contract and so on. A simple authorization, the pet information is synced to service providers, which is quick and easy.
We aims to offer qualified products and services at a reasonable price, and attract more people to help us improve the entire ecosystem. With pet database, we can provide the most effective plans for breeding institutions, since the risk of genetic diseases in breeding pets is very high.
