Miami, FL — January 31, 2023 — All Raise, the nonprofit organization on a mission to accelerate the success of female and non-binary founders, investors, and operators to build a more prosperous, equitable future, today announces the launch of its Miami chapter in partnership with GET Cities. All Raise’s Miami chapter will arm female and non-binary leaders with access, guidance, and support to advance their professional growth. The Miami chapter joins existing chapters in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, and Washington, D.C.

All Raise is a nonprofit born out of a grassroots movement in 2017, All Raise’s programs arm women with the tools and networks to advance their professional growth. All Raise is a community of 24,000+ iconic founders/CEOs, operators and investors across the country. All Raise has two primary goals: doubling the percentage of female checkwriters to 18% by 2028, and increasing the amount of early-stage funding going to female founders to 23% by 2030.

What makes All Raise stand out is the caliber of founders, funders, and operators who contribute their time, energy, and dollars in furthering the organization’s mission. No other nonprofit has been able to mobilize such a powerful group of tech leaders who are committed to change and bring them around the same table. All Raise has raised a total of $15 million to pursue its mission.

“Miami is a booming tech city witnessing massive growth at the moment,“ said Alexandra Pinckney, Director of Marketing at All Raise. “This city is integral to All Raise and GET Cities’ joint goal to build an equitable future because Miami is a global gateway that connects many founders and investors from the global majority and it is also our first chapter city where the population is not predominantly white male. A successful All Raise Miami Chapter means we are directly redistributing access, capital, and power to Black and Latinx women and non-binary people — traditionally underrepresented tech leaders. Miami will be a real life case study of the innovation and capital we generate when we create pathways to success for those who are historically left out.”

Miami is the logical next chapter for All Raise. Miami-based female founders are making progress in the VC ecosystem and are incredibly influential. According to Pitchbook’s fourth annual “All In: Female Founders in the U.S. VC Ecosystem” report, South Florida technology startups with at least one woman founder captured $596 million across 66 deals during the first three quarters of 2022. That’s more than half of the $922 million invested in female-founded startups across the state during the same period. However, also in 2022, South Florida companies with mixed-gender teams raised more capital than all-female teams. Startups with a male and female founder secured $564 million across 51 deals, compared to $32 million across 15 deals for companies solely founded by women.

Alongside the launch, All Raise also introduced the impressive members of its Miami Steering Committee who will help drive awareness and programs for female and non-binary founders, investors, and operators in the greater Miami area.
