It started with a dinner. A little over a year ago, after a troubling series of events in the tech ecosystem came to light, a group of senior women in venture capital came together to discuss the challenges facing women in tech and VC. They discussed struggles and successes, created powerful connections, and decided on a few core initiatives. And thus, created All Raise.

Six months later — in February 2018 — All Raise gathered 100 Bay Area women in VC together for an evening of networking and frank discussions. There were a number of longtime VCs in the room that night. And it was the first time they had ever been in a room with so many women in their industry. The impact was palpable. We immediately knew we wanted to take that experience and create it for even more women.

So, today, we are holding the inaugural All Raise Women Who Venture Summit, bringing 400+ women in tech VC together to help rewire our industry from within. Never before has a group of VC women of this size and scale come together to inspire each other, create powerful connections and accelerate change in the tech ecosystem.

Attendees will hear inspiring stories of grit and leadership from Angela Duckworth and Sally Yates, learn from pioneers in VC like MJ Elmore and Heidi Roizen, and hear real talk from a few of today’s leading VCs like Kirsten Green, Ann Miura-Ko, and Sarah Tavel. There will also be special programming on negotiation with Stanford Professor Maggie Neale and a critical discussion about intersectionality and the importance of our work for women of color. Check out all of our speakers here.

As important as our speaking program, though, is simply the chance for attendees to establish and deepen ties with one another. When you’re only 9% of an industry, your network is not all around you in the natural habitat. So we’re creating it and aim to help women build bonds, inspire one another and create an impact that is bigger than its parts.

We hope our summit will give investors energy to continue to stand up for change at work and pursue their passions with confidence. Check out Allraise.org and follow us @allraise to join the conversation on our #womenwhoventure summit.
