This generation bonds over trauma, they bond over playstation, drugs, alcohol, Iphones and gadgets. This generation never knew the art of flying kites, sitting on the roof, building tents and laying admiring the night sky, running behind the ice-cream truck just for that 5 rupees mango pop, fighting for batting in gully cricket. This generation never knew the art of holding hands and the intimacy to drown in eyes, of walking miles and not knowing the destination, of committing to life more than death.

This generation commits to death, life is the crisis that falls upon their existence, this generation bonds over how their parents work throughout life without providing their kids a PS5, this generation bonds over their parents forcing the responsibility of just securing their future, this generation bonds over who gets the latest stuff, this generation bonds over cafes not the tiffins, this generation bonds over cars where the bicycle runs on the muddy-roaded memory of their parents.

Empathy stands a zero chance for this generation. People with low empathy tend to be more lonely than others. And this generation knows no empathy.

So, they bond over trauma.
