Why should you read this?

Because as an entrepreneurial leader, you stepped into the world of entrepreneurship thinking that you would have freedom.

Freedom of your days.
Freedom of your time.
Freedom of your income.

But now you find yourself stuck in the restriction of suffering and sameness and smallness.

You get into a traffic jam.

The very first traffic jam is doing everything that everyone else is doing. You don’t go a different way; you don’t go in a different direction. You go with the stalled flow.

When you look at why traffic jams occur it’s because everybody is on the same highway trying to go the same way.

Have you ever been in a traffic jam and thought, “Omg I wish I was on the other side of the road,” because nothing is going on over there? Cars are traveling at full speed and getting to their destination.

You can do that in your entrepreneurial journey, you need someone to teach you, mentor you, to train you and develop you up.

You get into the traffic jam thinking this is the way to go but without a blueprint or directions.

Imagine if you wanted to go to the store. You aren’t sure where the store is but you see a bunch of cars going one way, so you decide to follow them. 1 hour later you’re just driving and still haven’t seen the store you’re looking for. What you don’t see is the inside of the other cars. You don’t see who is using a GPS or who is arguing with their passengers that this is the wrong direction. You don’t know who is getting ready to turn their blinker on and take the access road instead.

It’s the same with business. Doing what you see everyone else doing isn’t going to get you to your goal because you don’t know what is happening behind the scenes.

You see Marie Forleo putting out a new video on YouTube every week so you think, “She’s successful so I guess that is what I should do.”

No.

You don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. You don’t know her strategy for marketing those videos. You don’t see how she pitches her guest or how she decides her topics.

When you just hop into the traffic jam, your end goal is just to run the business, but it’s so big and so vast that all the granular details in the middle are completely missed.

Stop following the herd. You started your business to leave the cult of average. The cult of average follows the traffic jam blindly.
