Alpaca’s first NFT campaign!
Maybe you’ve heard rumors. Maybe you’ve had a dream about it. Maybe you’ve just read the roadmap…
In any case, we’ve been hinting at Alpaca NFTs, but now — we’re dropping the real info. Above, you can see a still shot from our upcoming first NFT: “Little Al and the Magical Alpaca Farm: Episode 1".
This NFT campaign will be a series of animated shorts with voice actors, recounting Little Al’s origin story. It’ll all be there: the mystery, the drama, the wool…
As far as we’re aware, this will be the first NFT series of animated shorts with a genuine storyline, making it monumental within the NFT space. Of course, someone may release something low quality after reading this, in order to be a Llama…
In any case though, we believe the NFTs from this series will not only be high quality and entertaining, but become a genuine collector’s item, as our first NFT campaign that will one day represent the beginning of the growth of Alpaca Finance. 😎
In addition, these story NFTs will become an origin point, from where we grow the lore and develop further NFTs with utility that will integrate into our platform.
Back to the present though. This animated series, will consist of four parts. It will be limited-edition, exclusive but also free to our oldest and most loyal fans. You may be thinking to yourself, “How do they know who are the oldest and most loyal?”
Well, we could use the length of your wool…
But, we have an even simpler mechanism to determine that.
Our oldest community members would’ve been around during the first few weeks, and earned locked ALPACA rewards. Our most loyal fans, would’ve converted those locked ALPACA into sALPACA, staking them on the Stake page, and holding for what we all believe to be a bright future, full of uptrends and Alpaca friends.
Thus, these NFTs will be distributed in the following manner:
- Only wallets that had locked ALPACA will be eligible. Any amount will do. However, that wallet would’ve had to convert its locked ALPACA to sALPACA through the Stronk Vault at some point. Conversions are still open for a few more days. So if you want the NFTs, you will have to convert. So far, almost 95% of the locked ALPACA have converted even before this announcement, so don’t be the last one to arrive.
- If you happened to convert to sALPACA but still have some locked rewards left over, you will also qualify so don’t worry.
- You will have to stake 100% of the converted sALPACA on the Stake page. We will publish a list by April 7th of how many sALPACA each wallet must stake to qualify, equal to their total converted amount. On April 14th, we will take a snapshot to verify 100% of your sALPACA is staked.
- Tokens staked in vaults on external platforms will not be eligible. We will not be tracking their data.
- If you sold sALPACA, you will have a chance to buy some back by April 14th in order to qualify for the first month. This will be the only month where we allow buybacks for qualification.
- After April 14th, everyone who qualified will be whitelisted to receive the Episode 1 NFT and will receive it within the following week. Yet, this will only be Part 1/4 of the NFT series.
- For the following 3 months that Stronk Vault is open, at the end of each month, we will deliver the NFT that’s the next part of Al’s Story to qualifying users. The terms will be similar. You’ll need to stake 100% of your locked rewards the entire time. We will do multiple snapshots, and if your balance is under the total at any point, you’ll be ineligible for that NFT and all following NFTs; The prior point also applies to the first month and all following months.
- At the end of the second month, qualifying users will receive Episode 2. For the following two months, the rules will also be the same, each month rewarding the following portion of Al’s Story as an NFT.
- By the end of month 4, when Stronk Vault reaches its end on July 12th, all the loyal Alpacas that wanted these NFTs and believed in the future of Alpaca Finance, will have collected all four parts of this exclusive NFT animated series, having a new piece in their collection, and a piece of our hearts.
