My Last Investment Article
(Not investment advice).
The initial title for this article was “The Last Investment Article You’ll Ever Need to Read” . I changed the title because I sounded too much like a pompous asshole.
Now the title is “My Last Investment Article”.
And it is.
I have been transitioning away from investment advice for a while now. My last article in — checks notes — February discussed minimalism. The one before that — not including my monthly earnings report — was about the relationship between budget deficits and inflation. A couple articles before that I discuss the risks of global warmings.
Why have I been writing so many macroeconomic and macro-financial articles? First, economics is where I’m comfortable. I received my undergraduate degree in economics; I work at my country’s central bank; and I’m going to graduate school this Fall to — surprise, surprise — study economics.
Second, the lessons from the articles I wrote a year ago are still relevant today. Writing another investment article would equate to me repeating what I had written in 2021.
I wasn’t even going to write this article. And I won’t fault you for skipping over it. I’m writing it anyway because I think it’s important now, when we’re seeing some of the worst stock market performance…
