Reasons To Be Optimistic In 2025
The best is yet to come

I like to end the year by thinking optimistically about the next. Regardless of what happened during the year, it’s always nice to remind yourself that the future is wide open and that things tend to get better over time (though it definitely doesn’t always feel that way).
America remains number one
In my opinion, the biggest reason to be optimistic heading into the next year is the continued strength of the American economy. Just two years ago, I remember being legitimately worried about the downfall of the dollar and stagflation. Thanks to some nifty steering by the Federal Reserve and the enduring strength of the American consumer (despite higher interest rates), those worries have been put to bed.
It also helps that the dollar’s greatest competitors, the Euro and the Chinese Yuan, belong to economies that are relatively much weaker and more stagnant. So by both sheer luck and a bit of skill, there remains no real alternative to the dollar. And this dollar demand juices up the demand for America’s financial assets such as stocks, bonds, and real estate.
