The Limits Of QE

The linked article offers an interesting perspective on the limits of QE (Quantitative Easing). The author notes that when banks run out of bonds to sell to central banks, QE as it is currently defined hits its limit. Of course, central banks can expand the types of assets they buy. But even so, it’s important to keep in mind that QE is not infinite.
