Why The Euphoria Around Bitcoin?

I’m the furthest thing in the world from a crypto expert and have never owned any digital currency (I prefer gold, much to the chagrin of my bank account). That said, the froth and euphoric excitement around cryptocurrency these days perplexes me. The bull case seems to revolve around:

• Fixed supply (my counter is that while the supply of BTC is fixed, supply of cryptos overall is rapidly expanding).
