March 27th, 2018 Sydney, Australia — March 31st, 2018 Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Alpha Blockchain, with its featured partner Kambria, have successfully organized concurrent events involving Robotics, AI, and Blockchain back in March 2018. The roadshow event had a great turnout with more than 300 participants in Ho Chi Minh City and Sydney, while reaching more than 1000 viewers through live broadcasts. Participants comprised mostly of university students, tech enthusiasts, and local reporters who were eager to engage in deep tech.

The goal of the event was to showcase the exciting combination of new deep tech and blockchain technology in hopes to encourage students and enthusiasts to get involved in the community.

Key speaker of the event, Thuc Vu (The Co-Founder & CEO of Kambria & OhmniLabs), shared his project to bring robot technology into every country in order to make a positive impact in people’s lives. Thuc engaged people with his vision and demonstrated how blockchain & crypto-economics could be utilized to vastly improve the Robotics and AI industry.

Kambria, a decentralized AI and Robotics platform, aims to make building robots and related technology easier and more accessible while ensuring fair rewards to the contributions made to the ecosystem. The platform creates a decentralized marketplace for the exchange of designs and code that will allow collaboration between developers, manufacturers, investors, and buyers.

We can definitely see a positive future with concrete values for everyone involved in this space and the Kambria team will try to achieve this by creating an unique ecosystem with Robotics, AI, and Blockchain.

Thuc is a serial entrepreneur, sold multiple companies including one to Google; AI and algorithms expert, robotics enthusiast; PhD from Stanford and BS from Carnegie Mellon, both in computer science;a social entrepreneur, investor, involved in community projects and start-up ecosystem.

“This was the first talk on Kambria that we gave in both Vietnam and Sydney. I would like to thank Alpha Blockchain and Blockchain Education Vietnam & Australia for making it happen”, mentioned by Thuc Vu.

In addition to an Q&A session on the Kambria project, the event had a live demonstration of Big Ben, a prototype deep learning platform by Alpha Blockchain, as well as telepresence robots from Ohmnilabs.

“What was more interesting to me was how they manufactured the robots. They use fairly ordinary filament 3D printers in parallel to print out most of the casing and small plastic parts. Most of their printers take about half a day to print out a set of parts, although they have some with large print beds that can operate faster. While he’s based in the USA, he’s actively trying to bring his automated manufacturing technology to Vietnam”

Another interesting viewpoint from a recap written about the Ohmni Robot production process by Sean — Alpha Blockchain member and Hackaday blogger.

“We are so grateful to have great partners like Kambria — they are passionate about making Robots easier, faster, and, above all, more accessible” said Allan Ta, Co-Founder of Alpha Blockchain & Founder of Blockchain Education Network Vietnam and Australia.

It is always great to hold events like these to increase the exposure of incredible projects. The experts in this field are able to reach out to the community to share what they’ve been working on and educate them on how to get involved. It also gives us the opportunity to meet and interact with community as well. Together, we can spread the word on the positive impact of blockchain technology to the world.

We sincerely want to say thanks to all of our partners and everyone who contributed to create such successful events.
