After the unprecedented bull market towards the end of 2017, it was even more difficult to understand how people would react to the extremely volatile market after the crash. Now that we are in the final few months with 2019 just around the corner, I am very excited to see what the future holds for next year.

I will be attending my final conference of the year in Macau from November 13–14th, 2018 called Sora Summit. The goal of the conference will be to reflect on some of the current events, educate one another, and collaborate on future developments. The emphasis will be on the Asia blockchain market but we will definitely have representations globally. Our four main general topic areas will be Greater China, South Korea, North America, and other general market trends. There will be a wide scope of successful individuals from different areas of the market that will be in attendance. We will have representations from Asia-based VCs such as Fenbushi Capital, US-based VCs such as media Pantera Capital, top Asian crypto media, and top 20 coins such as Qtum and Vechain. Sora Summit will also exhibit an exclusive presentation that will showcase the launch of Alphaslot, a token that aims to revolutionize the gaming industry.

I’ll be highlighting a few of the key speakers but will be far from the full list of speakers.

Alphaslot will be the next platform that will merge its users in the gaming world into one tokenized economy. The Alphaslot Platform plans on disrupting the entire gaming industry, including e-sports, PC, mobile, console, and casino gaming. Blockchain has opened up new possibilities that will enable gamers and developers to build new communities that are more interactive than ever before. Developers will be able to collaborate with its users to improve its games and come up with different incentives to grow and maintain its community. At the same time, its users can easily access their “digital assets” and be able to move seamlessly across different blockchains. It plans on not only uniting the gaming communities together but also connecting people at physical land-based casinos to use Alphaslot for hospitality, F&B, retail, and transportation.

Alphaslot will be showcasing an exclusive presentation of its product at Sora Summit.

Pantera Capital has been one of the most notable VC out there — coming out with the fact that they have made a 10,000% return over the past five years. Paul Veradittakit is a partner from Pantera Capital who will be speaking on Investment Strategies in North America. It has launched its Venture Fund III back in mid-2018 with projects, like Bakkt, Circle, and Ripple, in its portfolio. He has been with the firm since 2014 and has helped execute over 60 deals.

Qtum is a Chinese-based hybrid platform that combines the characteristics of both Bitcoin and Ethereum. It enables developers to build on smart contracts and decentralized applications while requiring users for verification. By doing so, it hopes to make it easier for businesses to operate more efficiently. By eliminating the faults in Bitcoin and Ethereum and producing a hybrid, Qtum has opened up new interest for a product that eliminates those disadvantages. We will be hearing from Patrick Dai, the Founder of Qtum, on his thoughts on protocol side for the coming years.

Hashed is one of Korea’s largest blockchain fund that has grown from a $600k fund to almost a quarter of a billion within 18 months. Its core members consist of only 12 members, two of whom will be speaking at Sora Summit. We have Simon Kim, who is the CEO and partner, speaking on Korean Investments, trends, and post-management services. We also have Ryan Kim, who will be speaking on more general Asia-based investments. Hashed maintains interest not only in the Asia, but also has been looking into investments in other markets, such as in Africa and in Vietnam.

Registration and a full list of speakers can be found here on the website @ sorasummit.com —
