Altcoin News: American Channel CBS Spoke About Bitcoin in the Popular TV Show “60 Minutes”
The latest 60 Minutes social and political show on the American channel CBS since 1968 allowed the general public to become more closely acquainted with the Bitcoin phenomenon.
Although community members expected that CBS, like other mainstream media, would put Bitcoin in a negative light, to their surprise, the information presented in the release was rather balanced.
The crypto-enthusiast Charlie Schrem, Laszlo Hanech — who became famous for the person who bought two pizzas for 10,000 BTC, and the director of the Digital Currency Initiative at the MIT Media Lab Neha Narula, took part in the show.
From the release, CBS viewers could learn about the early days of Bitcoin, the rapid growth of its course, the mining process, the features of the technology and the prerequisites of creation.
Although the authors of the program did not openly criticize the cryptocurrency, not all members of the community were satisfied with what they heard. In particular, their discontent caused a range of topics and the choice of invited guests.
