Bank of America has closed a vacancy for a Ripple-related project, possibly finding a worthy candidate, Cointelegraph draws attention to.

The vacancy of the “Treasury Product Manager” for Ripple was posted two months ago, and by of October 10 bank had stopped accepting applications.

“This role leads the product management team for the Ripple Project, a decentralized ledger technology-based solution to cross border payments marketed to GTS clients,” the vacancy text says.

Previously, Bank of America has not made any statements regarding the possibility of using Ripple technology in its operations, despite the interest in blockchain technology reflected in the organization’s numerous patent applications.

On Wednesday Ripple, for its part, announced the start of cooperation with fintech company Finastra, which will allow its customers to connect to its payment network RippleNet, which uses XRP cryptocurrency to make money transfers around the world.

In September, the company acquired Algrim, an Icelandic crypto trading firm, to expand the payment capabilities of RippleNet in Europe.
