BitTorrent, owned by the Tron cryptocurrency startup, is preparing to conduct internal tests of its streaming blockchain platform. Testing should take place in the 3rd quarter of this year.

The company’s blog reports that a platform called BitTorrent Live (BLive) will support live video streaming and a messaging service. A user rating and a system of relationships between them are also being prepared.

The alpha version of BLive should appear in the third quarter of this year, then the project will go into beta testing, and a full launch of the platform is expected in the first quarter of next year. Now a small group of internal users are testing the service, and developers continue to introduce new features.

Various options for depositing and withdrawing funds will be available to users, including in Bitcoins and BTT tokens, and without commission. Support for traditional payment services is expected: PayPal, Google Wallet, Android Pay, Apple Pay, WeChat and Alipay.

Active platform users will be rewarded with BTT tokens. Content creators will also be able to receive gifts from other BLive users and convert them into BTT tokens.

Recall that the announcement of BitTorrent Live took place at the end of March this year.
