The big market slump this week is accompanied by a wave of whale activities. At the time of the crash, Bitcoin Whales moved 37,225 BTC or $325.5 million. Now, another Ripple whale joined and moved over 250,000,000 XRP.

The largest among the sighted gentle giants transferred 10,000 BTC worth $86.8 million between two wallets of unknown provenance.

Probably this Bitcoin Whale was a trader who moved his assets from one wallet to another for security reasons. It could also have been a smaller exchange or an over-the-counter (OTC) sale between two private parties.

At the same day, a powerful Ripple specimen joined the “game”. A Ripple whale has recently transferred 250,000,000 XRP tokens worth over $67 million.

The Wallet in question does not seem to belong to Ripple. However, the XRP tokens have not yet been moved to an exchange where they could be traded on the open market.

However, because of the recent massive XRP sales by Ripple itself, the community is now very allergic to all major XRP movements in the market.
