The Polish crypto-exchange Coinroom suddenly closed without having paid its customers, Finance Magnates reports, citing the local news portal Money.pl.

The event began on April 2, when the exchange sent letters to customers informing them of the impending breach of contracts and asked them to withdraw the funds remaining on the platform. Users who did not issue a request for withdrawal within the specified time frame were asked to contact the company directly. This possibility was established in accordance with the rules for using the platform, which each of them signed at the time of opening accounts.

Money.pl, however, states that many users received payments only partially or did not receive them at all. The cumulative customer losses are unknown, and they call the amounts from $79 to $15,660.

One of the users said that he ordered payment of 2 BTC and even received confirmation from Coinroom, but not the cryptocurrency itself. In the meantime, dozens of other former customers are flooding the forums with complaints.

Coinroom, for its part, stopped contacting users and closed all accounts on social networks, and also completely erased data from the main website. Exchange operated since 2016.
