Altcoin News: Forbes President: Bitcoin Is a High-Tech Call for Help
Steve Forbes, the Editor-in-Chief of Forbes, a business magazine, considers Bitcoin to be a “high-tech call for help” caused by a lack of confidence in traditional currencies in the modern world.
In a conversation with Ark Invest CEO Katie Wood Forbes said that the main task for Bitcoin now is to approach the level of confidence in gold, which has had millennia to gain its current status.
Forbes notes that Bitcoin is notable for the inconsistency of the course:
“Steak today, dog food tomorrow.”
At the same time, he recognizes the role of cryptocurrency in the modern world:
“Bitcoin has played a very important role in supporting people in adversity around the world, helping to bypass governments that want to control you, plunge you into hunger, harm you.”
Forbes previously published a list of the 400 richest people in the United States, in which, as of the current year, there remains only one representative of the cryptocurrency industry — ex-Ripple CEO Chris Larsen.
Forbes authors also maintain a regular Forbes Crypto column, which reviews the latest developments in the world of digital assets and blockchain.
